Hi, I'm Yvonne!

Thank you for visiting my website.

I live in Woodford Green, East London. I'm a married mother of 3. My first child was born in a stand alone midwife led unit, second was at a hospital birth centre, and my third was a homebirth in 2020 during covid19 restrictions.

Prior to becoming a Doula I had worked as a healthcare practitioner within the NHS for over 10 years. So I'm fully aware of how the system works and how over medicalised things have become.

After experiencing my own childbirths as well as supporting friends and family (I am the oldest of 5 girls) through their personal childbirth and post partum journeys I realised that empowering women and their partners during this process ignited something within me.

I completed my training to become a Birth and Postnatal Doula with Kicki Hansard’s Birth Bliss Academy. I have supported a variety of births including natural physiological births, caesareans, and VBACS (vaginal birth after caesarean).

I am a recognised member of Doula UK, Abuela Doulas, I am also a Doula Mentor. I am a fully trained Hypnobirthing teacher and have completed training in Biomechanics for birth and Aromatherapy in Childbirth. I have an enhanced DBS and I am fully insured.

I still have working links with the NHS as I am the Chair for Waltham Forest Maternity Voices Partnership covering Whipps Cross Hospital. I strive to ensure that the voices of women and birthing people who access maternity services are heard. I am passionate about working to improve our local maternity services.

To provide support and share the joy as new parents are born is what fuels my soul as a Doula!

Our daughter's birth was a beautiful spiritual and transformative experience, and we are certain that your guidance played a significant role in making it so. We felt empowered, informed, and in control, all thanks to your wisdom and guidance. You supported K through every contraction, and your unwavering encouragement empowered her to bring our baby girl into this world with strength and grace.

As a family, we cannot thank you enough for the love and dedication you poured into our journey. Our daughter has entered the world surrounded by love, positivity, and your amazing energy. You've not only been K's rock but also a pillar of strength for both of us during this incredible journey into parenthood."
